Co-designed by Jonah Takagi and Hallgeir Homstvedt, the Pleat Collection (2018) offers a fresh take on traditional drum-shaped shades. “We wanted to push the pleats in a different direction,” says Takagi, “and make them as small as we could.” What they actually created is a micro-pleat that’s more of a texture – it looks really smooth from a distance, but as you get closer, you see the fabric is pleated. An offset base design completes the intriguing, elegant look.
